Fire forces evacuation at Wayzata High School, classes canceled

The fire started in the art room, the school says.

A fire in the art room at Wayzata High School forced an evacuation mid-morning Friday and classes have been canceled for the rest of the day.

No students or staff were in injured in the blaze, which was contained by fire crews after it started from a kiln in the art room, according to school officials.

It's unclear how much damage the fire did, but students are now being picked up by parents and school buses.
