Fire melts semi on Interstate 94 near Fergus Falls

Richfield, Minnesota's Janelle Griffin-Sherlock snapped this photo on I-94. 

A semi-truck that caught fire on Interstate 94 west of Fergus Falls on Friday slowed traffic for more than an hour and left an impressionable view for passing motorists. 

It's unclear what caused the fire, but the Minnesota State Patrol told multiple media outlets in the area that there were no injuries.

Traffic was however backed up for six miles, according to WDAY.

Semi misses stopped car by inches on Interstate 94

The dashboard camera of a Wisconsin state trooper captured a semi truck speeding by a car parked on Interstate 94 – narrowly missing the vehicle by a few inches. The truck driver was cited. Now the state patrol is using the video as a reminder to drivers to move over or slow down when they see a car stopped along the side of a roadway.

Dazzling northern lights near Fergus Falls

A burst of auroras lit up skies in North Dakota and Minnesota Monday night. According to the University of Alaska Geophysical Institute, Tuesday and Wednesday nights may also provide some active shows, depending on cloud cover.
