Some businesses in the Warehouse District were evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to an underground fire, KSTP reports.

A Minneapolis fire spokesperson says an electrical vault near Second Avenue North and North Second Street caught fire, causing a significant amount of smoke in the area.

Authorities have blocked off Second Street between Second and Third avenues.

Xcel Energy is also on the scene. The Star Tribune says some power outages were reported.
