Two men and two women have been arrested and charged in connection with a string of burglaries in Wadena and Todd Counties,

The Wadena County Sheriff's Office said that several burglaries were reported in the rural Staples areas of the two counties that started around the middle of November.

Witnesses were able to give police a description of the vehicle involved, which in turn led to the identification of several suspects.

Earlier this week, the suspect vehicle was stopped in Staples, Minnesota, and the four people inside were detained for further questioning.

Several items taken in the burglaries were found in the vehicle during the stop, with a search warrant later obtained for the vehicle and a house in Motley.

Two men, Brandon Aanerud, 29, and Zachary Bennet, 25, both of Motley, and two women, 21-year-old Taylor Wellnitz, of Staples, and 19-year-old Avery Judd, have been charged with burglary-related offenses.

They have already made their first appearances this week in Wadena District Court.
