Four teens arrested over robberies in Minneapolis
Police in Minneapolis say they have arrested four teens in connection to a "series of robberies" in the city.
The quartet – who are all believed to be aged 16 or 17 – were caught by police responding to a report of an aggravated robbery 3500 block of Stevens Avenue South in the early hours of Saturday.
Details of the suspects were given by the victim, and an officer working in an unmarked car on a robbery suppression detail saw the suspects' vehicle at a gas station on the 4500 block of Nicollet Avenue South.
As Minneapolis PD tells it: "Numerous squads were in the area and able to converge on the suspect vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle attempted to flee but squads were able to block its path. The suspect struck the cement barrier that protects the pumps."
Three suspects were arrested at the gas station, with a fourth who fled found a short time later by a K9 officer hiding under a car in an alleyway.
One of the suspects was identified by the victim of a robbery earlier in the evening, and the vehicle they were found in had been taken in a carjacking in St. Paul.
