Garbage truck driver seriously injured after rollover crash involving deer
The crash happened around 6 a.m. Friday.
A 50-year-old Brainerd man was seriously injured Friday morning in a rollover crash near Pequot Lakes.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the man, a Waste Partners employee, was driving a garage truck on County Road 1 in Maple Township around 6 a.m. when two deer entered the roadway.
The deer struck the truck, which left the roadway and rolled, according to authorities.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported by helicopter to a St. Cloud-area hospital with serious injuries.
The Pine River Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance and North Memorial AirCare assisted with the response, according to the Sheriff's Office.
