A 15-year-old girl driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix fled from a traffic stop and crashed Saturday night in west-central Minnesota.
According to the State Patrol, the 15-year-old was driving the car while another 15-year-old girl was a passenger. They were westbound on Interstate 94 near West Union in Douglas County when she fled from the traffic stop around 11:35 p.m..
The girl took the exit to Hwy. 27, ran a stop sign and crashed. Highway 27 is the exit that leads from I-94 to Osakis.
The crash report indicates that the teen driver wasn't injured. The passenger, however, a 15-year-old girl from Muscatine, Iowa, sustained non-critical injuries and was taken to a hospital in Alexandria.
