Girl in hospital after being pulled from bottom of Edina pool

It's the latest in a line of near-drownings involving young children.

A girl has been hospitalized after she was found at the bottom of a pool in Edina.

Responders were called to a possible drowning at the Normandy House Apartments at 4545 Valley View Road on Saturday afternoon.

The child was found in an outdoor pool at the complex and taken to the nearby Fairview Southdale Hospital for treatment.

There's no update on her condition.

It's the latest in a number of near-drowning incidents involving small children in Minnesota pools and lakes.

There have been recently reported incidents in Eagan, Albert Lea, and just this Friday in Woodland Township south of Montrose.
