Players from the Timberwolves and Warriors had to be restrained Tuesday night after a shoving match broke out between Gorgui Dieng and JaVale McGee.
Things got heated after McGee's hard foul on Dieng late in the first quarter. Dieng got up and pushed McGee in the back. McGee retaliated with a more aggressive two-handed shove. Players were separated and both Dieng and McGee were assessed technical fouls – and McGee was given a Flagrant-1 for the hard foul.
"Don't do that s*** to me," Dieng said after the game, via NBA City. "We watch film every game we play. He did it more than like five times last game we played them. And he did it tonight. I take care of myself."
Dieng said McGee didn't foul him hard the last time they played, but he did the same thing to Wolves forward Nemanja Bjelica.
"I let him know... it's not gonna be like that," Dieng said.
The Warriors won 121-107 for their 12th straight win.
