Greenwald man dies in farming accident

A 69-year-old Greenwald man is dead after a farm accident in Stearns County.

The St. Cloud Times reports that John Schonberg died after being hit by a front end loader while working on a farm near Paynesville.

The incident was reported shortly after 8 a.m.

The Associated Press reports that Schoenberg was walking near a silage pit when he was struck by the loader. The report says the driver was unable to see him.

The incident remains under investigation with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened in rural Goodhue County around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
