We at The Tip Jar can't resist a bargain especially when it comes to Costco, the warehouse club where if you spend wisely can save you a bundle compared to your regular grocery store.
That's why this deal from Groupon caught our eye, particularly now that Costco has raised the annual cost of its Gold Star membership to $60 from $55.
On the Groupon deal, you spent $60 for a Gold Star membership, but you get almost $85-worth of additional bonuses.
This includes a $20 cashcard and coupons worth $64.98 for use in store and on Costco.com.
The coupons will get you a 72-pack of Kirkland AA batteries ($19.99 value), a free 4-pack of Kirkland disinfecting wipes ($9.99), $10 off fresh meat and fish (excluding deli items) and $25 off an order of $250 on Costco.com.
Now we're not saying this deal is so good that you must rush out immediately even if you've never thought about getting a Costco membership before.

However if you'd already planned on joining, or want to renew an expired membership (you qualify for this offer provided you membership expired prior to Feb. 1), then you may as well buy the membership through Groupon.
You can find out how to get the offer here, though Groupon warns it's a limited time deal and it's "selling fast."
