The beloved Hastings Perkins is expected to be closed for weeks following recent fire — the second blaze at the restaurant in the past month.
The most recent fire occurred around midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 3, the location's manager Becca Caneff said on Facebook. It happened while the Perkins was closed and nobody was injured, Caneff said, but later noted the fire was "inside and caused a lot of damage."
This blaze was the second in a span of 25 days, Caneff said, and the latter resulted in "much more damage."
In an update, Caneff said they're "working diligently" to get back up and running, and tentatively plan to reopen in about four weeks.
"Thank you for all the support messages and keep the prayers coming we can meet that 4 weeks," she wrote. "See you all again soon."
The community has responded by offering support and assistance, with one nearby restaurant owner even offering temporary gigs to displaced workers.
"We'll be there as soon as you announce you're open again," one patron wrote.
