Have you seen this man? Burglar hits 5 churches in western Wisconsin

This is an image of the man suspected of a string of burglaries at churches near the Minnesota border in western Wisconsin.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office said on its Facebook page five churches were hit overnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Those targeted were Prairieview Covenant Church, Jehovah Witnesses and First Lutheran in New Richmond; Redeemer Lutheran in Burkhardt, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hudson.

Surveillance footage revealed an image of the suspect, with St. Croix Sheriff's Office saying he arrived at the churches in a vehicle that may have been a Pontiac.

"It is angering that this individual felt it was their right to break in, damage and steal property that does not belong to them," the sheriff's office said, "and all from places that would have helped them, if asked."

Investigators are asking for the public's help to apprehend the culprit and have asked anyone who recognizes the man or has seen suspicious vehicles outside the churches to contact Investigator Rose at 715-381-4387.
