Head-on crash on gravel road leaves 1 dead, 6 injured in northwest Minnesota
A 23-year-old was killed and six others were injured in a head-on crash in northwest Minnesota on Wednesday.
According to the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 5:40 p.m. on 250th St. near County Road 3. Two vehicles traveling in opposite directions on the gravel road collided head-on at the crest of a hill.
Forum News Service reports that the crash involved four adults and three children. Six were airlifted to a hospital in Fargo and one person was taken by ambulance.
The victim killed in the crash has been identified as Alexis Clark, 23, of Fertile, Minnesota.
There have been 130 fatalities on Minnesota roads so far in 2019, according to the Minnesota Department of Traffic Safety. There were 135 deaths at the same point last year.
