Highway 101 in Savage closed due to 'active investigation'

Police haven't revealed many details.

Westbound Highway 101 in Savage is closed due to an "active investigation" Tuesday afternoon.

The Savage Police Department, in a Facebook post, provided few details, other than to say police and fire were on the scene. The closure is impacting Highway 101 from Highway 13.

MnDOT cameras showing Highway 13 westbound show a long line of traffic as of 2:20 p.m.

The police department said more details would be made available soon. 

Reporters at the scene say the police activity on Highway 101 is in connection to the search for Keegan Oyugi, noting his vehicle has been located. 

Oyugi, 26, went missing June 12. Police said he was last seen leaving the Prior Lake and Savage area
