Home near Sleepy Eye broken into, trashed by unknown suspects

Authorities in southern Minnesota are investigating a case of property damage after the contents inside a home were trashed. 

The extensive damage was done at a residential property located at 29032 U.S. Hwy. 14, approximately two miles west of Sleepy Eye, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office. 

The sheriff's office says the damage was done sometime between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday when multiple suspects, whom the property owners did not know, entered the empty home and caused substantial damage to the building and possessions inside. 

The photo provided to by the sheriff's office shows some of the damage.
