A man was seriously burned and injured in a house explosion in northern Minnesota Wednesday.
According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a house explosion at 11:51 a.m. in the City of Remer.
Working on a furnace inside the home at the time of the explosion was a 46-year-old man from Hill City, Minnesota. He was airlifted by North Memorial Air Care to a hospital in the Twin Cities with burns and serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.
The sheriff's release notes that the man was doing service work on the propane furnace when it exploded.
The explosion remains under investigation by the sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office.
