Humane Society files lawsuit to end wolf hunts in midwest
The Humane Society and other groups filed a lawsuit in federal court Tuesday that would end wolf hunting seasons in Minnesota and other midwest states, the Associated Press reports.
The suit claims taking wolves in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan off the endangered list last year threatens the recovery of wolves and seeks to restore the federal protection in the western Great Lakes region.
