Humphrey Terminal welcomes more passengers, more retailers

Terminal 2, or Humphrey, at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport had another record year with more than 3.3 million passengers in 2012 - a 10 percent increase from the year before, KSTP reports.

More retail options are also being added to the airport's less crowded terminal. Subway, Caribou, Cocina del Barrio and a Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine News and Gifts shop have all opened in the past two months.

KSTP says Surdyk's Flights Wine Café and Market will arrive this summer.

“Passengers have been telling us for a while now that they want more options at Terminal 2-Humphrey,” said John Greer, the commission's assistant director of concessions and business development. “These new options address that demand and also provide a local flair that sets MSP International apart from other airports.”

Minnesota-based Sun Country Airlines, which operates from Terminal 2, announced last week it will begin offering travelers direct flights to Chicago from the Twin Cities this summer.
