Hunter found dead south of the Twin Cities near Rochester

His identity has not been released pending notification of family members.

The death of a hunter in southern Minnesota is under investigation. 

According to KSTP, a 53-year-old hunter was found dead on Sunday in Roscoe Township, which is about 20 miles northwest of Rochester. 

The report says another hunter found the man near his tree stand. 

It's not yet clear how the man died, and the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office tells Bring Me The News that any more information will not be provided until the man's family has been properly notified.
