Husband, wife killed in crash involving motorcycle, van in Becker County
A crash involving a motorcycle and a van in west-central Minnesota proved fatal for a husband and wife on Sunday evening.
According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, Leonard and Nancy Holmer, of rural Perham, were riding a motorcycle southbound on Hwy. 39 when they collided with a van at the intersection of Bass Lake Road in Shell Lake Township.
Leonard Holmer, 51, was driving the motorcycle and Nancy Holmer, 50, was a passenger. Both died at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 57-year-old man from White Earth, Minnesota, was transported to Essentia-St. Mary's with unknown injuries, the sheriff's office said.
No further information has been released and the crash remains under investigation.
