I'm sorry, what? Ex-aide claims President Obama 'hates fried walleye'

President Obama, a man chosen twice as commander-in-chief by the majority of Minnesota voters, hates fried walleye.

The Chicago Tribune has reported on a memoir from Reggie Love, a former presidential aide, in which he describes offering the president a dish of fried walleye when they were in Iowa, but "never lived it down."

Apparently, every dodgy-looking meal Obama had from that point on was met with the comment: "At least it's not fried walleye."

The revelation will come as a devastating, pearlescent eye-opener for fans of what is a staple of menus across Minnesota, either as straight-up fried fillets, or in sandwich form with lettuce, tomatoes and tartar sauce.

Then again, Obama was trying fried walleye in Iowa, so we suggest the president should pay another visit to the Land of 10,000 Lakes before making a definitive decision on the delectable breaded fish dish.

To make matters worse, the president also apparently "loathes" mayonnaise, which also rules out him enjoying many Minnesotan salads.
