Two major sections of I-94 will be closed in the eastern Twin Cities this weekend.
In St. Paul, I-94 will close in both directions between Highway 280 and I-35E from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday as crews work on reconstructing Dale Street.
The detour will send drivers via Hwys. 280 and 36, and I-35E.
The freeway will also be closed in both directions at the I-694/I-494 interchange in the Woodbury area, with all four ramps closed as well, from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The ramp from I-494 southbound to Tamarack Road will remain shut down until late August.
Three other ramps – Tamarack Road to I-494 southbound, I-494 northbound to Tamarack Road and 10th Street to I-694 northbound – will remain closed through September.
