Injuries after police car hits SUV, sends it into Minneapolis liquor store

Four people suffered minor injuries, including two officers.

Four people were injured and a property damaged after a Minneapolis police squad car struck a vehicle Thursday evening, sending it crashing into a liquor store.

The incident happened at Lyndale Avenue South and 22nd Street West, with a vehicle sent crashing into Hums Liquor Store.

Pictures sent to BMTN by Twitter user @zaliandra shows damage to the exterior wall of the liquor store, as well as one of its front windows.

WCCO reports that two police officers and two people in the car hit by the squad suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The squad car was traveling north on Lyndale en route to a call, with its lights flashing and its siren on.

The Star Tribune notes that some of the inventory inside Hums was also damaged, with dozens of wine bottles shattered at the entrance.
