Investigation underway after body found in Brooklyn Center

The discovery of a body in Brooklyn Center on Saturday morning has led to a death investigation. 

According to Brooklyn Center Police Department, the body was found around 9:30 a.m. near a pedestrian path in the area of the 5900 block of Shingle Creek Parkway. 

Officers arrived, with the department saying they "located an adult male who was obviously deceased." 

An investigation is underway, though foul play is not suspected. Police do not anticipate making any arrests. 

The man's identity will be released pending review by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
