Investigation underway after deadly shooting in Moorhead
One person is dead after an apparent shooting in the city of Moorhead.
It happened around 8 p.m. Friday on the 3000 block of 17 Street South, where police responded to "multiple gunshot calls."
According to a news release, officers found a bystander treating "an adult victim" nearby. Firefighters and paramedics began lifesaving procedures, but "resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful."
Very few details have been made available; the victim has not been identified and no arrests have been made, with police saying "this case is still very active."
Per the Fargo Forum, the shooting seems to have happened outside an apartment building on 18th Street, about a block away from where the victim was ultimately found.
