A second night of gun violence in Minneapolis has left a man dead.

On Saturday night, a ShopSpotter activation summoned police officers to the 3000 block of Dupont Avenue North, where they found the victim lying outside with apparent gunshot wounds.

Officers rendered aid until they were relieved by paramedics, and the man was soon rushed to North Memorial Medical Center for emergency surgery. Unfortunately, he died overnight of his wounds, a news release says.

The victim, believed to be in his 40s, has not yet been identified.

His death follows just one day after at least five teens were shot in Minneapolis, reportedly at a house party.

Also on Friday night, a man was shot to death in St. Paul, marking the city's 12th homicide of the year.

Authorities have not yet made any arrests in Saturday's fatal shooting; anyone with information is encouraged to submit an anonymous tip to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or
