Paralyzed hockey player Jack Jablonski is making major progress since he was injured in a hockey game last December. WCCO reports "Jabs" was able to stand for 22 minutes with the help of Courage Center staff. His occupational therapist says standing upright for that amount of time and maintaining blood pressure is a significant feat.
According to his CaringBridge website, Jablonski has become steadier each time he stands and recently used both hands to play beach volleyball with his trainers.
The high school junior returned to school at Benilde-St. Margaret's Aug. 28.
