JetBlue will finally come to MSP Airport – and bring with it nonstop flights to Boston

The airline will make its Twin Cities debut with some pretty cheap ticket options.

Travelers will soon have another option when it comes to low-cost flights out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

JetBlue announced Tuesday that people will be able to fly nonstop between MSP and Boston Logan International Airport starting May 3.

The airline will provide three daily roundtrip flights between the two cities, with one-way flights starting at $89 (you can start booking them online now), JetBlue's website shows.

JetBlue says MSP is the largest U.S. city that's not currently served by the low-cost airline.

Brian Ryks, the executive director and CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, said in a statement they've been pursuing JetBlue for "several years" and "couldn't be more pleased" that it is finally coming to MSP.

JetBlue is the largest airline at Boston, which will help connect travelers from MSP to more than 60 other cities in the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America. JetBlue is also partners with some international carriers, so there will be even more options when it comes to flying abroad.

JetBlue has been called one of the best U.S. airlines, with TIME noting it offers "roomy coach seats," free WiFi, free DirecTV and unlimited potato chips, among other perks.

JetBlue will fly to and from Terminal 2 (the Humphrey terminal) at MSP, spokesperson Patrick Hogan told GoMN.
