A juvenile suffered "grave" injuries after being shot in Minneapolis Tuesday.
Police were alerted to the incident via a Shot Spotter activation on the 1800 block of Lowry Avenue North around 9:20 p.m., according to an MPD news release. While on the way, officers were told someone had been shot.
On the scene, officers found a male under the age of 18 with a gunshot wound. They gave the boy medical aid, and he was then transported to North Memorial Hospital with what police describe as "grave injuries."
His condition as of Wednesday morning was not given.
Police canvassed the area and spoke to possible witnesses as part of their investigation, and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to provide anonymous tips via CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.crimestoppersmn.org.
