K2 Logistics, a shipping and supply chain management firm based in Eagan, is considering relocating its headquarters to Texas, according to the Houston Business Journal. “The cost of doing business in Houston is dramatically lower than in Minneapolis," said CEO Christiaan Walhof.

However, Walhof told the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal the company is not leaving the Twin Cities, where it has about 100 employees.

"That's not even on the table, that's an error," said Walhof. "We want to remain in Minneapolis and Minnesota. We are a Midwest company and we will remain like that."

K2 is breaking ground on a new 250,000-square-foot distribution center in Houston this week. The $20 million project will boost the company's Houston workforce from 20 workers to 50.
