Kayaker's body found in New Brighton lake after 4-day search
Officials have recovered the body of a missing kayaker following a four-day search in Long Lake in New Brighton.
The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office says it recovered the woman's body on Tuesday.
Officials have been searching for the woman every day since Saturday, when at 2:50 p.m. the sheriff's office and New Brighton Fire responded to Long Lake after a caller reported a woman fell out of a kayak and didn't resurface.
The woman has not been identified. The medical examiner will release her name and cause of death.
Other law enforcement personnel from Roseville Fire Department, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this search effort, as did two community organizations – Wings of Hope and Northstar Search and Rescue.
No other information has been released.
