A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man at an apartment complex in St. Paul.

The incident came to the attention of police early Sunday morning at the Como-Dale Estates apartment building on the 600 block of Front Avenue in the Como Park neighborhood.

There was no answer when police arrived, and officers eventually entered the apartment and found the man dead inside, along with signs of foul play.

After interviewing people who had been with the victim on Saturday night into Sunday, they identified a suspect and brought her in for questioning.

The 37-year-old from St. Paul is being held in Ramsey County Jail as she awaits possible charges.

No details about the victim have been released yet, with that expected to come at a later stage from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.

It's the 25th homicide in St. Paul this year, the largest number seen in the city for the past decade with more than two months to go in 2019.

It surpasses the 24 homicides recorded in 2017.
