Klobuchar, Bills to debate Sunday before the election

DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Republican Kurt Bills have agreed to participate in a U.S Senate debate on Nov. 4., according to Minnesota Public Radio. The MPR-hosted debate will be at 7 p.m.

DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Republican Kurt Bills have agreed to participate in a U.S Senate debate on Sunday Nov. 4, according to Minnesota Public Radio. The MPR-hosted debate will be at 7 p.m.

The incumbent U.S. Senator and the and state representative will also debate at the Minnesota State Fair.

Earlier this month, Bills called for as many as 12 debates with Klobuchar before the election and inferred that she was filling her schedule with fundraisers and ignoring voters. Klobuchar's campaign responded by telling MinnPost:

"Candidates that call for debates usually do it when there aren't any debates. There are already two scheduled for this month, including this Wednesday."
