Kmart store manager Tim Hayen told the Bemidji Pioneer he is unsure when the store will officially close its doors. As many as 60 employees, most of whom are part-time, will be affected by the closure.

Sears has released a partial list of Sears and Kmart stores set to close as it tries to make up for poor holiday sales this year. Included in the closings so far are Kmart stores in Duluth, New Hope, White Bear Lake and Wilmar.

Sears to close Kmart Distribution Center in Shakopee

Sears has confirmed that it will close its Kmart Distribution Center in Shakopee at the beginning of 2013. A company spokeswoman said that the 130 workers affected by the shut down were informed last week that they were losing their jobs. Some of the workers have reportedly been with the distribution center since it opened in 1981.

Men charged after cross-burning incident in Bemidji
