Police in Columbia Heights are looking for a man who almost hit a police officer with a stolen vehicle, and then crashed into a squad car.

Columbia Heights PD released the above image of the suspect, who they are trying to identify after the incident just before 8:30 a.m. last Monday, Nov. 19.

Two officers found him sleeping in a beige BMW on the 4200 block of 3rd Street NE, and as they tried to identify him, he accelerated the car towards one of the officers, who was forced to jump out of the way.

He then struck an unmarked squad car, causing it "considerable damage," and was able to flee the scene.
