KSTP: GPS trackers catch 3 U of M employees not working

An analysis of data gathered by satellite tracking devices placed on the vehicles of three University of Minnesota elevator mechanics showed they wasted more than 70 hours on the clock over eight weeks, KSTP reports.

The veteran university workers knew the devices were on their vehicles and they were "adequately punished," a university official said. One employee has since quit and the other two will be out of work after their jobs are privatized, part of a separate initiative, KSTP reports.
