Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival raises thousands

Roughly 2,000 people on more than 100 teams competed in the weekend's dragon boat races put on by the Twin Ports Rotary Clubs. By noon on Saturday, this year's festival had already raised $60,000, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

Roughly 2,000 people on more than 100 teams competed in the weekend's dragon boat races put on by the Twin Ports Rotary Clubs. Fox 21 reports this is the most teams that the 11th annual festival has ever hosted.

By noon on Saturday, this year's festival had already raised $60,000, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

Organizers were expecting more than 15,000 spectators for the 11th annual Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival on Barkers Island in Superior, the Northland NewsCenter reports.
