Authorities are investigating the death of 37-year-old Paul Schneider and a large marijuana-growing operation found in his Edina home Tuesday.

The Star Tribune reports officers responded to the house in the 4200 block of W. 50th Street after Schneider's sister, Lori Miller, discovered his body and called 911.

Police believe the death was suicide.

Nearly 30 marijuana plants and powerful heat lamps were found in the home, according to the Edina Patch. The Southwest Hennepin Drug Task Force is investigating the case.

Schneider's criminal history in Minnesota includes convictions on a felony weapons charge and two instances of drunken driving, the Star Tribune says.
