If you're on a Sun Country flight, you can now kick back with a Stillwater-based brew.

Lift Bridge Brewing's Farm Girl Saison and Getaway Pilsner will both be available in-flight on Sun Country trips as of February 2016, the airline said Wednesday. They'll come in 16-ounce aluminum cans, featuring Minnesota-themed artwork (see the photo above).

Lift Bridge – which bills itself as Stillwater's first craft brewery since Prohibition ended – chimed in on Twitter:

Dan Schwarz, Lift Bridge co-founder and CEO, said in the release they "look forward to making travelers’ experiences just a bit more enjoyable." And Eric Curry, Sun Country VP of sales and customer experience, said the company is "delighted to be able to continue to expand our in-flight offering of local Minnesota craft beer."

Lift Bridge's Farm Girl Saison has a score of 81 overall on BeerAdvocate, the Getaway pilsner comes in at an 85 overall.

This is not the first Minnesota-made brew the Mendota Heights-based airline has made available: In 2014, Sun Country added a Surly Brewing option to its in-flight menu. It also brought the Long Lake-based Founding Father Brewing Company on in December, the Business Journal reports.

Beers on planes

The website TravelPulse recently ranked airlines based on craft beer offerings. Delta (which is a major player at MSP Airport) came in No. 1.

Sun Country did not make the list, however.

The publication says airlines have been adding to their beer selections in recent years to adapt to changing consumer tastes, as craft beer continues its rise in popularity.

In 2014, Men’s Journal named the nine best craft beers on airlines, giving a nod to Surly and Sun Country.
