The chain breakfast restaurant – which started in Portland in 1953 – will be getting space in Minnetonka's 7-Hi shopping center, according to a news release. (The spot it's taking over used to be Hurricane Grill & Wings.)

The Original Pancake House has restaurants in 28 states, totaling more than 100 locations, plus a few more in South Korea and Japan. There are currently five in Minnesota: Eden Prairie, Edina, Maple Grove, Plymouth and Roseville.

The chain is billed as a second and third generation family business that emphasizes high quality and fresh ingredients. CityPages named it one of the 10 best suburban restaurant spots in 2014.

And a fun fact: The Sioux Falls OPH still has its original menus from 1953, KSFY reported.
