A 37-year-old Lino Lakes police officer died at a Hugo bar Sunday, the Pioneer Press reports.
The cause of Chris Bragelman's death was not immediately known. The sheriff's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating, and the Ramsey County medical examiner's office was planning an autopsy.
Bragelman, of North Branch, a father of three, had been with the Lino Lakes police department for more than eight years, the newspaper reported.
Bragelman's wife Emily Bragelman told FOX 9 her husband had been at the Blue Heron Grill Saturday night, celebrating with an old friend who was moving to Hawaii. She said he had no health problems and had no idea what might have led to his death.
Bragelman reportedly complained of chest pains at the restaurant and sources said an employee noticed he appeared to be asleep sometime after midnight, but attempts to revive him were not successful, FOX reported:
