Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey cancel their Twin Cities show
Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey won't be coming to Minnesota after all.
Richie was scheduled to stop by St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center on March 24, along with "very special guest" Mariah Carey.
But the venue sent out a notice Thursday evening saying the show is off. No details though, other than refunds will be available wherever you purchased the tickets.
This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, though.
In late February, the 67-year-old musician posted to Facebook saying he had a knee surgery and would not be "100% ready to start tour next month."
Richie apologized adding, "I don’t want to disappoint my fans and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ together again."
The cancelation isn't just a Minnesota thing, his shows are being canceled all over the U.S. However, some sources in other cities say their shows have just been rescheduled instead.
