LIVE UPDATES: Protesters, police clash in Brooklyn Center

Tracking Monday night's clashing between law enforcement and demonstrators.

Police and protesters are again clashing in Brooklyn Center Monday night in wake of Sunday's police killing of a 20-year-old Black man.

Daunte Wright was fatally shot by a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center Police Department around 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11. Wright was shot after being pulled over for expired tabs on the license plate of his vehicle.

Civil unrest has sparked tension between the community and law enforcement, with police dressed in riot gear ordering protesters away from the Brooklyn Center Police Department.

The repeated dispersal orders have been met with resistance from a large crowd, who have also ignored Gov. Tim Walz's mandatory 7 p.m. curfew for Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka and Dakota counties.
