Accused double murderer Lois Riess has arrived in Florida after being extradited following her arrest in Texas.
The Minnesota 56 year old, who is accused of killing her husband David Riess and a woman, Pamela Hutchinson, in Florida, was booked into the Lee County Jail on Saturday.
She is being held on charges of homicide, vehicle theft, larceny and identity fraud, relating to Riess allegedly befriending Hutchinson and killing her, before stealing her car and assuming her identity.
Florida will deal with Riess first, it seems, with Minnesota authorities using the extra time to solidify its prosecution of Riess over her husband's death.
Minnesota prosecutors plan to bring Riess back to Minnesota to stand trial once her trial in Florida – scheduled for May 29 – is done.
The manhunt for Riess ended earlier this month when she was captured in South Padre Island, Texas.
It follows several weeks on the run after the body of her husband was found shot to death at their Blooming Prairie Wax Worm business in southeast Minnesota on Mar. 23.
