Blaine High School graduate Odean Hoss was proud of his 1980 class ring – it was a treasured reminder that he was the first member on his father's side of the family to graduate high school, ABC Newspapers reported.

But he promptly lost the ring 32 years ago and held no hope of ever seeing it again. Last week, he got a Facebook message from a man who said his father had found a class ring hanging from the shift lever in a broken-down car in a junk yard, the publication reported. The ring had Hoss' name engraved on the inside of it, and the man had been trying to find its owner. After he tracked Hoss down, he mailed the stunned Blaine graduate his ring.

“I just think this is totally amazing, and I’m so glad to have my ring back. I never thought I’d see this ring again,” Hoss told the newspaper.
