An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a taxi driver in Moorhead.
The victim, identified as Abdullahi Abdullahi, was found dead in his taxi Wednesday morning, with his vehicle having driven over a roadway and crossed railroad tracks before coming to rest in the backyard of a residential home.
Police say Abdullahi showed signs of "suspicious trauma," and on Wednesday evening arrested an 18-year-old Fargo man in his death.
Moorhead PD says the shooting of Abdullahi is believed to have happened during a "planned robbery," with the suspect and victim not knowing each other.
The suspect, who BMTN will not name until he's charged, was also wanted in connection with two armed robberies in Fargo that happened Tuesday night, which saw two victims approached by an armed man who demanded their property.
The teen is being held in the Cass County Jail pending charges of second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony, and first-degree aggravated robbery.
