Man, 20, killed in scooter crash on Hwy. 62 in Edina
A scooter rider was killed in Edina on Saturday evening, after crashing on Highway 62.
The crash was reported at 10:55 p.m., when it was reported the driver lost control of their 2020 Yamaha YP400 scooter on the approach to France Avenue.
"Preliminary investigation suggests that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed," the Minnesota State Patrol said.
"The motorcycle lost control causing the motorcycle to crash and slide into the median guard rail."
The victim's identity has not been released, by police say he was a 20-year-old man from Richfield.
