A 22-year-old man killed in a crash that closed southbound Hwy. 169 in the Twin Cities Thursday has been identified.
The Minnesota State Patrol says that Abdi Aden Isack, 22, of North Mankato, was killed in the collision in Hopkins at around 2:45 p.m.
He was driving a Volkswagen Jetta heading southbound that was struck head-on by a Chevy Suburban that was northbound, with the driver crossing over the median into the southbound lanes.
The driver of the Suburban, a 56-year-old man from St. Paul, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
It's not clear what caused him to cross the median into the northbound lanes. The investigation continues.
