A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted luring in Fridley on Friday.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says it arrested a 28-year-old man from Coon Rapids at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

It comes after a 7-year-old girl was pulled into a red car in Fridley on Friday evening, but managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Police issued a picture of the suspect's car on Tuesday along with an appeal for information from the public.

The suspect is being held at Anoka County Jail on probable cause 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct and false imprisonment.

He is awaiting formal charges, and as such BMTN will not name the suspect until those charges have been filed.

The incident in Fridley is one of three attempted abduction/luring incidents in the Twin Cities over the past week.
